Plain Safaris (“we”, “us”) is a small, Kenya-based safari outfit. This page explains what information we collect through plainsafaris.com, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Enquiries. When you get in touch through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you tell us about your trip. We use this to plan and reply to your enquiry, nothing else.

Newsletter. If you sign up, we collect your email address only, to occasionally send trip inspiration or updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us.

Site analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site (pages visited, general location, device type). It loads only after you interact with the page and does not identify you personally.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • We don’t run any payment processing on this website – bank transfer and card payment details are arranged directly with you once a trip is confirmed, never typed into this site.
  • We don’t have user accounts, so there’s no password or profile data to worry about.

Sharing your information

If you book a trip, we share the minimum needed with the specific lodges, camps, or transport partners involved in your itinerary, so they can host or move you. We don’t hand your details to anyone outside of arranging your actual trip.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and booking details are kept for as long as needed to plan your trip and for basic bookkeeping afterwards. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time – just email info@plainsafaris.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
