FAQ
All You Need to Know Before You Go
Got questions about how Plain Safaris works? We’ve gathered some of the most common ones to help you understand how we make every journey easy, enjoyable, and unforgettable.
We’re a small, Kenya-based safari outfit built around the open plains and big skies of the savanna – Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu, and the quieter corners most itineraries skip. Every trip is planned personally, not pulled off a shelf, and we keep our groups small so you actually get to slow down and watch a place instead of rushing through it.
Start by browsing our packages or telling us roughly what you’re after, then reach out through our contact form or email. We’ll put together a proposed itinerary, adjust it with you until it’s right, and confirm your booking with a deposit once you’re happy with it.
Yes – every itinerary on this site is a starting point, not a fixed package. Tell us your dates, pace, and budget, and we’ll adjust the route, camps, and number of days until it actually fits how you want to travel.
Both. Most of our itineraries can run as a private trip for your family or group, and we also put together small shared departures for solo travelers and couples who’d rather split the cost of a vehicle and guide.
Cancellation and rescheduling terms depend on how close to departure you are and what’s already been booked with camps on your behalf. We’ll always spell this out clearly before you pay a deposit, and if it’s a date change rather than a cancellation, we’ll do our best to move things around rather than have you start over.
Email is the fastest way to reach us, at info@plainsafaris.com, or use the contact form on this site. We read everything ourselves.
