These terms cover using plainsafaris.com and booking a trip with Plain Safaris, a small, Kenya-based safari outfit. By using this site or booking with us, you’re agreeing to them.

How booking works

You reach out through our contact form or by email with roughly what you’re after. We put together a proposed itinerary, adjust it with you until it’s right, and confirm the booking once you’re happy with it and a deposit has been paid.

Payment

We accept bank transfer and major card payments, confirmed directly with you once your itinerary is set – no payment details are ever collected through this website. A deposit secures your dates, with the balance due before you travel. For most trips we’re happy to split the balance into a few payments in the run-up to departure; just mention it when booking.

Cancellations, refunds and rescheduling

Cancellation terms depend on how close to departure you are and what’s already been booked with camps and lodges on your behalf, since many of them have their own policies. We’ll always spell this out clearly before you pay a deposit, rather than bury it in fine print. Once a refund is agreed, we process our side promptly; how long it takes to reach you depends on your bank or card provider.

If we ever have to change or cancel a confirmed trip on our end, you’ll get a full refund or the option to rebook for a later date, whichever works better for you.

Travel risks and insurance

Safari travel involves real outdoor risk – wildlife, remote roads, and changeable weather among them. We plan every trip carefully and work with reputable camps, lodges, and drivers, but we strongly recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance covering medical care, evacuation, and trip cancellation before you travel.

Third-party providers

Your trip may involve independent lodges, camps, drivers, and transport operators. We choose them carefully and arrange your itinerary with them on your behalf, but each operates under its own terms and is responsible for the services it directly provides.

Using this website

We do our best to keep the content on this site accurate, including package pricing and availability, but details can change – always confirm specifics with us directly before booking. All text, photography, and branding on this site belongs to Plain Safaris unless otherwise credited, and shouldn’t be reused without asking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
